No municipal police department reporting

Morrison doesn't report crime under its own police department. Crime here is reported by another agency, such as the county sheriff, and isn't broken out for the town.

Some towns pay another government for policing, and the Census Bureau records that spending, so police spending is shown where it’s published.

About these numbers

  • The city's own published statistics may differ: CBI counts some offenses once per victim, while many cities count once per case.
  • Reported crime reflects what is reported to police and how it is recorded, not only how much crime occurs.
  • Police spending here is FY2016, latest available, the government’s fiscal year; crime, clearances and staffing are calendar year 2021.
